Based on the forms of microscopic underwater creatures called Radiolaria, this hanging sculpture has been created from 270 glass bottles and is 10,000X larger than an actual radiolarian. Like glass, radiolaria are also made of silicate.

In 2017, the Ocean Pavilion was made in Singapore, from 25,000 recycled plastic bottles for the I-LightFestival 2017.  The radiolarian made more recently is a prototype towards creating a larger pavilion from glass. If you represent a museum or institution and are interested in commissioning a glass pavilion, please contact Luke’s studio here.
